Starting from version 1.5, Ajaxium comes with an Intelligent Performance Advisor. This built-in tool has been designed to help you eliminate inefficient content updates and make integration and development jobs easier. Intelligent Performance Advisor analyzes the performance of AJAX updates and issues performance-enhancing recommendations to get rid of inefficient content updates that may cause page flickering or produce any other visible noise during updates. It also provides information regarding reasons for fallbacks to the ASP.NET mode if they occur.

[2006-May-15] Website Update: Cross-browser client-side API has been documented

Ajaxium cross-browser client-side JavaScript API has been made public and documented. Now on, you can handle Ajaxium-hidden postbacks and manipulate any DHTML elements using an easy-to-implement and effective set of functions. A generally used scenario for the API - "Loading..." message display during each AJAX interaction with the server is presented in the newly added section "Implementing loading notification with Ajaxium".

[2006-May-07] New Feature Added: client-side RegisterAjaxUpdateScript function

This function, as part of the server-side API, has been added to allow you to execute custom client-side JavaScript code after each page content update. Using this function, you can, among other things, implement a custom page-to-page transfer or make it emit a sound notification when a page update has been completed. Relevant information regarding the possible applications of this function is due to be posted soon.

Ajaxium is the only component on the market which allows transition from one ASPX page to another with all AJAX features enabled. This unique feature allows you to enable AJAX on your multi-page website without rewriting your existing code. Combination of this feature with Master Pages introduced in ASP.NET 2.0 greatly simplifies the task of creating a consistent and AJAX-enabled look for your site.

[2006-Apr-05] New Feature Added: possibility of switching between traditional ASP.NET postbacks and hidden AJAX-based postbacks

Now on, you can choose what kind of page update you need in the client-side code. Possibility to turn off AJAX-based updates is useful for very sensitive pages (as, for example, the order page in the online store).
